Her love of design began in childhood, learning to sew alongside her grandmother, and evolved through formal training in Apparel Design & Technology before earning a degree in Business Marketing from Florida State University. She spent over 15 years in corporate leadership roles across sales, strategy, and innovation — most recently in robotics and technology — shaping a disciplined, future-focused approach to design and business. As a woman constantly on the move, Maritza struggled to find shoes that balanced comfort, beauty, and thoughtful design. That gap, combined with her creative curiosity, led her to launch Maritza Marie in 2020.
